Schaduf implemented the “Sakia Makki” project in partnership with the Sawiris Foundation for Development, as this was one of the first projects of its kind in Cairo and Egypt in general. The project aimed to provide 60 families with rooftop cultivation equipment, with the aim of generating additional income through the cultivation of leafy crops. In this project, 80 farmers, 4 engineers and 2 supervisors were trained.
The project succeeded in forming a network of beneficiaries estimated at 60 families, or about 240 individuals, who were provided with 60 rooftop farms with 100 planted units. In a total area of 375 m2. The total production of the project amounted to 12,375 cups.
